Morogoro!

Hi guys
I know that you might think that this is a repetition of a blog I have posted about a year ago but this might have the same title but it is quite different if you know what I mean.
This last weekend(31 October to 2 November) we went on a visit to Morogoro International School(MIS). We went for a sports weekend but this time we focused on football because that is one of the things that our school is good at. The trip was quite of a disappointment because most of the students didn't go but on the other hand it was great for those of us who went.
We played two main matches against them. The primaries played the first one and they scored one goal while the hosting school defeated them by four, next the visiting seniors played the hosting seniors and it was a tie of two. It was a very difficult match most of them came home with injuries but we still had great fun.
Apart from sports we swam a lot in the luxurious swimming pool. We also went to Dragonnaires for fantastic pizzas on Friday and had a delicious barbecue/disco on Saturday. So we all had great fun, didn't want to come home and wish we could go there again some other time.
Ciao

Summer Holiday

Hi people,
I would like to tell you guys about the most intresting thing that happened to me this summer holiday. Well I travelled to Dar es Salaam this holiday to vist my uncle. I went with one of my twin sister who is Nora and is 12 years old. While we were at home something very bad happened and it is something you, my dear readers should never even think about doing at all. This is how it happened.
It was a Saturday morning when I was swimming in the swimming pool at my uncles house when my sister came along and did something very bad, actually not that bad. My precious cellphone was on the table by the pool. She picked it up and practically threw it into the pool. I tried to save it but it was too late. the water had already done the damage.
There was nothing I could do to help my poor phone. I got so angry with Nora that I chased her around the house so that when I get her I could give her a good beating. She ran into the kitchen and thats where I picked up the first thing that I could see and hit her with it. It happened to be a broom.
I was so angry that I did not think twice about hitting her with it. I hit Nora something like five time before I was satisfied. It wasn't until I had calmed down did I realize what happened. My pesky sister had a huge cit on the side of her head. Blood was pouring out of her head like water coming out of a tap. At that moment my aunt(my uncles wife) came in. She saw my sister and immediately told me to take my sister to there hospital. Nora had four stitches and I took her home. When we got there my most dreaded punishment was waiting for me. I had to take my sister everyday for her daily injections so that the cut would heel better.
Nora was also given a talking to because she destroyed my phone so I was cool with my punishment. At the moment we are still not talking to each other and even had to come back to Iringa in separate cars, and the nice thing is that I came back by car while she had to come back by bus. the other nice thing is that we both have scars for life isn't that just swell?
So my readers thats all the gossip I have for today. I might have some more next week, but now I gotta fly.
Ciao
Mariam/Miriam.

My school

Hi guys,
Um today I am going to talk or tell you something that is more about myself, I am doing this because lately I have noticed that I have been mostly writing this stuff for my school mates to know me. Now I think That I should also talk about me for people who don't know me to get to know me better because why should you listen to the views of other people and you have know idea who they are. Please don't get me wrong, I do believe that we should listen to every ones opinions. I know that I am talking rubbish but so what?
OK I am kinda getting off point here so let me get back to the topic. Yeah what I was saying is that I want my readers to know who I am. This is obviously for people who don't know who I am duh. Alright today I am going to start with my school.
I go to the Iringa International School a.k.a IIS. I started there in 1998 in pre-school. I have been here for ten years so far as I am know in senior four( year ten, or in other words form three). I have one more year and I will do my IGCSE exams. So in general I finish my O-LEVEL education in 2009. Our school is small with about 70 students but trust me it is great. There are only three of us in the class but it is fine.
In our school we all know each other which I think is fantastic, not like other schools where you don't know the other students in your own class.
So that's all I have got to say about my school, for more about me catch me later. Bye for now I really gotta go.
Ciao, its me the one and only
Mariam.

Mr Mjengwas visit

Hi people as usual I am back again writing to you my readers of this wonderful(no comment) blog. Um I am sure if you are a good follow up of this blog you remember that recently (meaning a few weeks ago) I wrote to you about Mr Mjengwa and his blog and how his blog is very critical I must say but also very interesting. Well what I have got to say is that Mr Mjengwa came to our school. Some people might say so? But if you really knew Mr Mjengwa you will know what I am rattling on about.
Mr Mjengwa is a very busy man and he has got a very tight schedule and it is not that you can get hold of him just when you feel like. It was three weeks later that we actually could get hold of him. Our IT teacher Mr Klose was very kind to get him to come to our school. so that was kind of what made Mr Mjengwa's visit to our school rather significant.
The other thing that was important was what we learnt from that 50 minute talk. I learned to be courageous and feel free to express what I feel in a tactful way.
Anyways guys I seriously got to go. So bye and I will write soon.
Ciao Mariam(duh)

Prime minister resigns

The former prime minister of the democratic republic of Tanzania Edward Ngoyai Lowassa has resigned. This occurred last week when the prime minister was charged against stealing money from the Tanzanian government.
This was mainly to do with the dealings of Mr Lowassa and the and a company called Richmond. It is said that the government was paying about the some of 152 million Tanzanian shillings a day to the company of Richmond, for them to produce electricity for the national grid of country. to this day Richmond has not yet produced any electricity while it has been payed to do that for the past two years. Instead the money that has been payed by our hard(yeah right) working government (which mostly comes of the taxes being payed by the Tanzanian people) has ended up in the big pockets of Mr Lowassa. So when the report of the investigation was given, Mr Lowassa said that he will resign but he still denied all charges. He did keep his word and now he has resigned.
So Tanzania has now got a new prime minister who goes by the name of Mzengo Peter Pinda. I would personally like to congratulate the MP of Kyela for the work he did and the courage he had to pin point a government official. So thats all.
Thank you for reading this
yours sincerely
Miriam a.k.a Mariam

Great blog Mr Mjengwa

Today am going to talk about one of thee many blogs I have been reading recently. This is a blog written by Mr Mjengwa who is the parent of four students in my school(don't worry am not going to associate that with what am going to talk about).
So yeah where was i? Oh yeah, Mr Mjengwa has a political blog which I think would be very wise if all of us sane people visit the blog. Mostly I think the blog is a critical eye to the government and the way the country is today. There are lots (and i mean it lots) of funny cartoons which personally I think are fantastic. Actually I laughed so hard that I got a rib ache(that maybe because i laugh too hard). What he talks about in this blog is true and they are things that are happening today in Tanzania. If we had lots of people writing like Mr Mjengwa I think the government will wake up more and behave(no comment).
So that's all I can say for today and if you have not visited his blog you should, you actually cant say you cant because you don't have his blog address, because am going to give it to you now. It is mjengwa.blogspot.com. no excuses please make sure you do otherwise I will make you.
Good bye for now, yours truly
Mariam
